Hi Super Parent πŸ™‚

I hope your summer is going well and your Super Star is enjoying their holidays.
A quick update for you regarding next season….which is only a month away! So exciting!

We originally planned on having a welcome session on Saturday 9th which we sent an email out. We have figured it would be easier for everyone involved to do this on Sunday 10th September as this is due to be the start of the season anyway.
Please ensure you arrive at the correct times (detailed below). Here we will hand over your kit, you will get to meet your Super Stars team manager, your Super Star will get to meet their new team mates, and we will have a quick meeting about parent expectations for the season. We will also have a mini friendly tournament:

9.30am – 10.30am Under 7s
10.30am – 11.30am Under 8s and
11.30am – 12.30pm Under 9s and Under 10s

We are still awaiting the u9 and u10s fixtures from the Tandridge League but anticipate the start of the season will be Sunday 17th September.

U7s & u8s official games will start on the 17th September. These age groups will have a match every Sunday up until Xmas (17th December is the last game before the break). We will then return in January.

For u7s and u8s we have tried to make the squads as even as possible so the season is fun throughout – nobody likes losing every week and it can become disheartening for the Super Stars.
If you would like to know which team your Super Star is playing in next season and who with, please contact me on my details below and i will be happy to advise.
We have only made one or two changes to the squads for u8s to even the teams out more.

U9s & u10s will take place on Wednesdays 7-8pm at Thomas More from 13th September

u7s & u8s you have a choice of which session to attend out of our current available sessions – this can be the one you were training in last year e.g. Saturday mornings or at your school.

Your Super Star will need studded / blades football boots for the grass season (moulded studs are best as can be used on hard ground too), astro turfs / trainers for the indoor & astro part of our season, plus shin pads and a water bottle each week. There will be Skillz FC training kit available to purchase – they look awesome, and we will also be adding rain jackets and jumpers to our shop in the next couple of weeks! Take a look for yourself here: https://www.skillzuk.co.uk/shop/

For those that have agreed to be the manager of their super stars team this season, we are waiting for final confirmation to do the level one course for you. Our tutor, Chris Jones, has agreed to run this for us at Thomas More. We are looking at a mid late September / October start. Please note this will take place during some evenings for 4 hours and on Saturdays too for the full day. If you have any dates you aren’t available, please let me know below.

That is all for now – literally can’t wait for the season to start πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
If you need anything in the mean time, you can contact me on jcharles@skillzuk.co.uk I am super excited to be taking on the role of Skillz FC Co-Ordinator for the season ahead πŸ˜€
